For the last two weeks, Livonia Fire & Rescue crews were conducting daily live-fire training—an essential part of preparing firefighters for the realities of the job. These evolutions provide controlled, realistic fire conditions that allow our members to practice critical skills like fire attack, search & rescue, ventilation, forcible entry, and decision-making under pressure. This training is conducted under strict safety guidelines that ensure a balance between realism and risk management, including proper fuel loads, dedicated safety officers, and continuous monitoring of conditions.
